This is another Tea Cup/Saucer set from an estate of a lady who collected beautiful teacups. It is a typical cup and saucer set from a time when women collected teacups to display and to use...pretty on the shelf and pretty in the hand...a perfect indulgence. The lady who collected this cup originally was part of a club where the members exchanged teacups at various events.

DIMENSIONS and SPECS: Teacup is approx. 2 1/4" tall and the saucer is approx. 5 3/8" diameter across. The cup is approx. 4 5/8" across the top at the handle, including handle. No obvious chips, cracks. Fancy handle with small pedestal base on cup and scalloped edges on cup and saucer. Gold on edge of cup and saucer and gold accent on handle and outside cup. Unmarked but it is in the style of the Japanese teacups and saucers produced for the mid century post war market. Gold edge on saucer has area with gold not with glaze under gold (dull areas) typical of Japanese factory production finishing. Blue violet background with purple accent on edges of cup and saucer with pink, yellow and green lilies with leaves. Please see photos as they are part of the description.
