This is a sweet, funny, light hearted story...a comedic romantic story of the Edwardian age. A story with lots of twists and turns with true love the ultimate goal. Any reader will figure out how this one will end after pursuing the first page. But why deprive yourself of the pleasure of whisking about New York in a shiny red motorcar driven by Billy Snow (aka William Snowden, bachelor millionaire)? It is a light romantic comedy that takes place over the life and death of a certain fancy red automobile owned by Mr. William Snowden—impromptu alias, Bill Snow, chauffeur. Whether you like romance, don't like romance, enjoy a good laugh, or don't enjoy a good laugh, this book will be a nice respite for today's busy world. This Edwardian romance is a quick, light little read.
Stylistically this book is beautiful. Illustrations by Harrison Fisher and Clarence F Underwood. There's a colored frontispiece, illustrations and a decorative border featuring Cupid and some car motif designs. Pretty Art Nouveau styling. Nice book for your bookshelf or side table; charmingly quaint shabby chic decor. Very pretty shabby chic book with exciting story line and plot...a quaint old fashioned read...typical Edwardian turn of the Century Romantic novel.
It's such a nice book to hold and browse through as it is to read it's classic romance--lovely to read and lovely to add to your decor. This would be the special gift for that special someone who would love an indulgence and It would be a perfect gift for the classically Edwardian/romantically inclined person in your life. Binding in good condition (tight and firm) light wear to book corners and spine from being on shelf--book does not have much visible wear, cover is bright and not worn or faded--This book is in wonderful condition for its age over 100 years old and has been well cared for --see detail pictures and be sure to view all photos.
