This cup would be a lovely tea cup to enjoy your breakfast or afternoon tea. My grandmother always said that tea tasted better when drinking out of a china cup. Dainty and delightful china cup and saucer ready for a "spot of tea". Such an elegant cup and saucer with it's ribbed shape, graceful handle and footed base with gold accents. Delightful Pink rose floral sprays. Perfect for that needed time when you take care of yourself. This is another Tea Cup/Saucer set from an estate of a lady who collected beautiful teacups. It is a typical Mid Century cup and saucer set from a time when women collected teacups to display and to use...pretty on the shelf and pretty in the hand...a perfect indulgence. The lady who collected this cup originally was part of a club where the members exchanged teacups at various events.

DIMENSIONS and SPECS: Teacup is approx. 3 1/2" tall at handle and the saucer is approx. 5 1/2" diameter across. The cup is approx. 4 1/2" across the top at the handle, including handle. No obvious chips, cracks. White footed china cup with pink chintz rose pattern detail on cup and saucer. White background with pink accent roses and leaves. Pretty pink rose spray decoration on Inside of cup and on saucer. Most likely originally Marked with paper sticker Japan. It is the pattern style of Trimont. "Sponged" Gold accents on edges, footed base and on fancy handle of cup with gold on the saucer. Very Light Slight wear to gold on top of handle (high point) and rim of cup.
