Darling little cocktail hat...Such an elegant and ladylike hat... a classic little "cocktail" hat with a touch of style. Blue Wool with feather accent.  Tailored "egg" hat with a stylish flair that although it does not have a designer name it is reminiscent of the 1950's & the post war 1950's new look of Style...Ever so chic! It has the design style to accent the dresses of the period. Perfect accessory for your vintage ensemble. So elegant for a retro vintage party. A perfect tea party hat. A Royal Style so Princess Kate. Hat was made by the B. Adler Millinery Co. Kansas City and was found at an estate sale of a member of one of Kansas City's early society leaders.
B. Adler Millinery Co. was established in Kansas City in 1892. It was a major part of Kansas City's garment district. "Back in the day" Kansas City was considered one of the major fashion capitals west of the Mississippi and several of the leading manufacturers and retail stores outside of New York were based in Kansas City. Details: circa 1940's-1950's Circumference approx 22" Hat sits on Top of Head 6'- 6 1/2" measured across head--ear piece to ear piece. Blue wool with feather. Red Velvet ribbon bow. Velvet covered "ear clips" Small moth eat on top (enlarged in photo but not noticeable in "real life") Veiling has small breaks at top--close to hat at attachment to brim--not very noticeable. Label Adlers Kansas City--store label 22 Hat is "teardrop"/"egg" shape with rounded front to slightly tapered/rounded point back. Quaint "riding hat" style to be worn at a jaunty angle with flair on your head. Hat is in good vintage condition--hat appears to be never worn just originally purchased and stored on shelf.
