Made in Japan set of 6 teacups and saucers... lovely pink roses with green leaves and black band accent "Chintz" floral on white background.  They have a stylish decorative border pattern featuring pink roses and green leaves. Classic Mid Century teacup typical of the mid century Japanese teacups that were so popular with the "ladies that lunch". So elegant with black and pink floral. This cup would be a lovely tea cup to enjoy your breakfast or afternoon tea. Dainty and delightful china cup and saucer ready for a "spot of tea". With their vintage styling they would be perfect in your Shabby Chic decor or in a cottage farmhouse setting or even retro! Perfect for that special cup of tea or coffee. My grandmother always insisted on drinking out of a thin china cup...not a mug. She said that made everything taste so much better!

This is another Tea Cup/Saucer set from an estate of a lady who collected beautiful teacups. It is a typical Mid Century cup and saucer set from a time when women collected teacups to display and to use...pretty on the shelf and pretty in the hand...a perfect indulgence. The lady who collected this cup originally was part of a club where the members exchanged teacups at various events.

DIMENSIONS and SPECS: Set of 6 Footed Teacup is approx. 2 1/2" tall and the saucer is approx. 5 1/2" across. The cup is approx. 4 1/2 " across the top at the handle, including handle. No obvious chips, cracks. Gold accent on handle with gold on edge of saucer. Black with pink roses green leaves "chintz" like bands. Some wear on gold consistent with use and age. Marked Made in Japan. With this mark they are estimated to be pre-1950's and are Pre-WWII. They are the typical style of the mid century Japanese teacups and saucers. They are typical Japanese factory finished with some rough porcelain, irregular painting/decal and some fired in impurities & black spots/marks. . The "imperfections" were considered normal for this type of Japanese factory work. Please see photos as they are part of the description.
