Nippon Japanese Tea Pot.  Delightful and cheerful hand painted floral china tea pot ready for a "spot of tea"...so elegant...my grandmother always said that tea tasted better when prepared in a china tea pot..."china was the best way to go". Using this tea pot would be a lovely way to enjoy your breakfast or afternoon tea. So lovely with the gold accents and the fancy handle. This would be the special shower, birthday or tea party gift for that special someone who would love an indulgence. This tea pot is marked Nippon. China from Japan was marked Nippon from 1891 to 1921. DIMENSIONS and SPECS: Tea Pot is approx. 4 1/2" tall. The tea pot is approx. 7 3/4" from the edge of the spout across the top at the handle, including handle. Approx. 24 oz. No obvious chips, cracks in china body. Hand Painted roses in pink and yellow tones with green leaves and grey accents. Dark green band around top of pot at lid and on the bottom edge of lid. Tea pot has a fancy handle and is ribbed (melon shaped) Gold on handle and edges of spout and side of spout with accents in ribs of tea pot. Typical Styling of Nippon china. Small factory flaws in paint and finishing typical of the mass produced china of the era. Circa 1890's-1920's. Marked in Green Nippon Hand Painted.
