Footed Teacup Unmarked Japanese. Lovely pink floral with yellow luster, gold with 3 little feet. Delightful china cup and saucer ready for a "spot of tea"...so elegant...my grandmother always said that tea tasted better when drinking out of a china cup. The elegant little "feet" on the teacup add a special touch to your tea time ritual. This teacup would be a lovely way to enjoy your breakfast or afternoon tea. This would be the special shower, birthday or tea party gift for that special someone who would love an indulgence. It is a typical Mid Century cup and saucer set from a time when time was taken to enjoy a moment from the cares of the day...a cup and saucer to use...pretty on the shelf and pretty in the hand...a perfect indulgence.

DIMENSIONS and SPECS: Teacup is approx. 2 1/2" tall and the saucer is approx. 5 1/2" diameter across. The cup is approx. 5" across the top at the handle, including handle. Fancy Handle. No obvious chips, cracks. Gold on handle and edges of cup and saucer. Gold decoration on saucer and cup with gold trim on cup and on saucer. Cup and saucer have "scallop" edges. 3 small "feet" on the cup. It is a typical style of the Mid Century mass produced Japanese china. The cup has pink floral decoration inside and MOP Mother of Pearl yellow luster on the cup and on the saucer with gold accents. Circa 1940's-1950's. It is unmarked on the china but it is in the style of mid century china with the style of the cup and saucer one that was used on many pieces of Mid Century Japanese china teacups that the "ladies who lunched" loved and and shared. It is typical of the mid century Japanese china that was so popular after the Second World War. Please see photos as they are part of the description. Use zoom feature to see greater detail.
