Green Satin Depression glass basket candy dish. A Delightful depression glass "pretty" to set a lovely table. This glass basket would be a great way to add a bit of color as you enjoy your breakfast or afternoon tea. It's s cherry little accent dish perfect for holding sweets or other tidbits at your next tea or with your morning coffee. It could also be used at a side table or on a desk to hold odd "bits" or your keys. This would be the special shower, birthday or tea party gift for that special someone who would love an indulgence. It is a typical depression glass dish from a time when time was taken to enjoy a moment from the cares of the day...practical items were pretty on the shelf and pretty in the hand...a perfect indulgence...something to bring a little pleasure to everyday living. In the depression years folks wanted a bit of color to brighten their difficult times.

DIMENSIONS and SPECS: Approx. 6 1/2" X 7" Approx. 3" high base to top of handle with hand painted pink wild roses and enamel decoration. Frosted "satin" glass with clear glass handles. The body of the glass is a frosted "mint green" color with hand painted pink floral accents. The sides are curved up gracefully with handles of clear (not frosted) mint green glass. No obvious chips, cracks. Circa 19100's-1930's. Please see photos as they are part of the description. Use zoom feature to see greater detail.
