This cute little Moss Rose child's Tea set is from an estate of a lady who also collected beautiful teacups. It is a typical of the Mid Century cup and saucer sets from a time when women collected teacups to display and to use...pretty on the shelf and pretty in the hand...a perfect indulgence. This is a quaint little tea set is perfect for the "little lady" who loves to have tea with her dollies and bears or for the "little gentleman" who knows that manners and taking time to enjoy the day with a "spot of tea" is most "civilized". The lady who collected this toy tea set loved Tea and all things pertaining to the gentle art of tea. This is a wonderful rare example of a Larger size toy tea set with accessories...so nice to find complete & unbroken.

DIMENSIONS and SPECS: 12 pieces Tea Pot with lid, Cream, Sugar with lid, Oval Platter 2 plates, 2 each cups and Saucers. Teapot holds approx 8- 12 oz. Tea cup holds approx 3 oz Stork mark with Japan stamped on pieces. Teacup is approx. 1 3/4" tall Approx 3 1/2" measured across the top of cup and the saucer is approx. 3 3/4" diameter across. The cup is approx. 3 " across the top at the handle, including handle. Plate is Approx. 4 1/2" across The oval platter is approx. 7 1/4" long 4 3/8" wide. Tea pot is approx 5" tall to top of lid knob, 3" wide side to side 6" long including handle. Creamer is approx. 2 3/4" tall 2 1/2" wide side to side 3" handle to spout. Sugar is approx. 4 1/2" handle to handle 2 1/2" wide side to side 3 3/4" tall to top of lid No obvious chips, cracks but typical "rough" finishing of china/black spots--typical of the Japanese Factory Export China. Teapot has crack on back rim in porcelain glazed over crack from factory--stable not new crack. Gold accent on edges of china Marked Japan It is the typical style of the mid century Japanese export china teacups and saucers. Please see photos as they are part of the description.
